What Happened

Officials are investigating a crash that killed a woman at I-35 in Cooke County, TX on February 18th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 4 a.m. Investigators say a vehicle operated by 21-year-old Maliki Howard struck a disabled vehicle and its occupants, who were standing near the vehicle at the time. Officials both individuals, identified as 23-year-old Isaac Rebollar-Gonzalez and 22-year-old Crystal Mendoza, were hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. Mendoza suffered fatal injuries while Rebollar-Gonzalez was seriously injured. Howard was also hospitalized with serious injuries, police say. Additional information was not available.
