Area authorities are investigating a collision involving a pedestrian at I-10 in Chambers County, TX on August 8th, 2023. Officials believe it happened around 3:50 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 operated by 34-year-old Dale Hill had been westbound before it was involved in a collision. The circumstances of that collision were not detailed. It was stated the Ford was parked in a shoulder as Hill surveyed the damage to the vehicle. As this occurred, investigators say a tractor-trailer operated by a 52-year-old Louisiana man, was approaching westbound. Police say the truck allegedly failed to remain in its lane and struck Hill before pulling onto a shoulder. Hill had suspected serious injuries from the collision and authorities recommended and/or issued a Failure to Drive in Single Lane charge. Additional information was not made available.
