What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a person at Garland Ave and Kingsley Rd in Garland, TX on February 19th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:27 a.m. Investigators say a GMC Sierra operated by a 20-year-old Fort Worth is said to have disregarded a red light at an intersection, colliding with the rear of a Honda CR-V. The impact pushed the Honda into a Nissan pickup truck ahead of it. The driver of the Honda, 51-year-old Dalyis Mulet Gomez, suffered serious injuries. The other drivers were not injured and the Fort Worth man was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
