Police are saying the incident happend around 3:48 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Impala headed southbound on Hwy 249 is alleged to have left its lane of travel for unconfirmed reasons before entering into northbound lanes. From there, authorities say the vehicle struck a nearby pole, the impact leaving 36-year-old driver, Damon Greenleaf Jr, fatally injured. Authorities did not have additional inforamtion available.
