Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US 87 in Dallam County, TX on April 22nd, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 7:55 a.m. Investigators say a tractor-trailer operated by 58-year-old Billie Morgan was headed northwest on US 87 in a right lane while a Toyota Tacoma operated by 39-year-old Damon Matthew Whaley was headed northwest behind the truck. The tractor-trailer reportedly slowed to turn into a private drive and the Tacoma collided with the rear of the truck as it did so. Whaley suffered fatal injuries in the collision.
