Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at S 62 in Hockley County, TX on September 7th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 4:45 p.m. According to investigators, an SUV headed southwest is believed to have veered across the roadway for unknown reasons before traveling into a west ditch. The vehicle is said to have overturned several times, leaving the suspected driver, 69-year-old Santiago Miranda, with serious injuries. Also seriously injured was a second occupant, identified as 73-year-old Felix Cerna. An additional passenger, identified as 66-year-old Daniel Alvarado, suffered fatal injuries at the scene.
