What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at State Loop 335 in Potter County, TX on September 17th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11:30 a.m. According to investigators, a truck tractor-trailer headed northeast on Loop 335 was involved in a collision with a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Reports claim the Jeep may have failed to yield right of way before pulling into the path of the truck, the two vehicles colliding as a result. The impact is said to have sent the Jeep across a concrete median where it collided with a light pole. 75-year-old Daniel Neely, the operator of the Jeep, was fatally injured. 75-year-old passenger, Jeanne Morgan, was hospitalized with serious injuries, reports say.
