What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 59 in Cass County, TX on January 14th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:20 p.m. and involved a Chevrolet Silverado veering from the road before going into a ditch. It then hit an embankment and went airborne before overturning. The driver, 36-year-old Daniel Wright suffered serious injuries. Responding officers allege Wright admitted to drinking prior to the crash and suspect it played a factor in the crash.
