Area authorities have information on a crash that killed a person at FM 3113 in Martin County, TX on August 4th, 2021. They say t happened around 5:30 p.m. An 18-wheeler headed eastbound on FM 3113 made a left turn into the path of an approaching firetruck responding to a call. The firetruck swerved to avoid the collision but was unable to and struck the 18-wheeler before veering into a ditch. Danny Ireton suffered fatal injuries while Allan Carby was treated for serious injuries. Police cited the driver of the 18-wheeler for Turning When Unsafe.
