What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials have information on a crash that injured a driver at FM 548 in Forney, TX on September 30th, 2021. They say the incident happened around 1:23 p.m. A Chevrolet C1500 operated by 74-year-old Danny Marcus Pearce was headed westbound at Gateway when, according to a witness, the truck had the right of way at the intersection with FM 548. The truck made a turn and went though the intersection to head south when it collided with the side of a commercial truck operated by a 29-year-old Lewisville man. The Lewisville man and his passenger were uninjured. Pearce sustained serious injuries. Investigators allege that the Chevrolet failing to control its speed contributed to the collision.
