What Happened

Bexar County Sheriff's Office authorities are investigating a crash involving a wrong-way driver at Hwy 90 in San Antonio, TX on May 29th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 1:15 a.m. According to investigators, a pickup truck was allegedly traveling in an incorrect direction prior to colliding with a smaller passenger car. An occupant of the car, identified as 22-year-old Darion Jude Hendrick-Escobedo, was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died form. The other driver, identified as 39-year-old Christopher Davila, had injuries believed to be serious in nature and was hospitalized for treatment. Two children in the vehicle had less serious injuries, according police. Authorities allege suspicion of possible intoxication and say Davila faces potential charges, including DWI.
