What Happened

Area authorities have identified the people involved in a fatal crash at State Hwy 110 in Smith County, TX on October 2nd, 2022. Officials say it happened around 4:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford operated by 19-year-old Michael Agustin was headed southbound on Hwy 110 prior to losing control for unknown reasons. It traveled into the northbound lane, colliding with a Honda operated by 37-year-old Kimberly Thomas. The collision left Agustin with minor injuries and Thomas with more serious injuries, both hospitalized for treatment.
