What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a motorcycle at I-35 and Rusch Ln in New Braunfels, TX on July 14th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 11:21 a.m. Investigators say a Tesla Model Y was outbound before making a lane change. Reports say following the lane change, the vehicle changed lanes once more to avoid a possible collision with another vehicle. In the process, police say the vehicle was struck by a southbound motorcycle after entering into its path. the motorcyclist, identified as 25-year-old David Castillo, was seriously injured. The other driver was allegedly uninjured. Additional information was not immediately available.
