What Happened

Lubbock Police are have information on a crash that killed a motorcyclist at 34th St and Quaker Ave in Lubbock, TX on June 30th, 2023. Police say the incident happened as 19-year-old David Cochrane traveled northbound on Quaker Ave. Police say he was struck by a vehicle operated by 28-year-old Joshua Apoda, which had been headed southbound. The collision left Cochrane with fatal injuries. Apodaca was arrested on an Intoxication Manslaughter charge and authorities had no additional information to disclose.
