What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a collision that injured a person at FM 1085 in Taylor County, TX on September 18th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 10:17 p.m. A Harley-Davidson operated by 63-year-old David Duane Nault was headed eastbound on FM 1085 when it reportedly lost control at a curve and collided with a Polaris off-road vehicle that was stopped at a stop sign. Nault suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized. Investigators allege that Nault had been drinking prior to the crash and say the off-road vehicle was operating on the roadway illegally, charging the driver with Operating OHV When Prohibited.
