What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at FM 3513 in Lumberton, TX on January 30th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:58 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Equinox is alleged to have failed to yield right of way while turning right before pulling ahead of a Jeep Cherokee. The two vehicles collided, leaving the driver of the Jeep, identified as 29-year-old David Holt, seriously injured. A 45-year-old passenger in the vehicle had less serious injuries while the Equinox operator was allegedly seriously injured. Sources indicate a Failure to Yield Right of Way charge was recommended and/or issue against the driver of the Equinox.
