Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at Hillcrest Dr and Airport Rd in Sulphur Springs, TX on June 15th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:27 p.m. A Nissan Versa operated by 20-year-old David Jose Garcia is accused of failing to yield at a stop sign and collided with a commercial truck. Both Garcia and his 18-year-old passenger suffered fatal injuries. The driver of the commercial truck, 63-year-old Epifanio Morales, was not injured.
