Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a person at State Hwy 6 in Iowa Colony, TX on October 28th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:37 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Pathfinder operated by 31-year-old David Lopez was eastbound on State Hwy 6. Also traveling eastbound was semi-truck in a left lane. Officials allege the Nissan collided with the rear of the semi-truck under unclear circumstances. It was suggested the truck may have been slowing to perform a u-turn at the time of the collision, which left Lopez with fatal injuries. The truck operator was uninjured, police say.
