What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 570 in Eastland, TX on April 12th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 7:32 p.m. Investigators say a Ford F-150 headed eastbound on the service woad is said to have proceeded into an intersection, the traffic signals allegedly non-functioning at the time. Authorities say the vehicle collided with a northbound Lincoln MKC pushing it into a nearby ditch. The collision is said to have left the Lincoln operator, 87-year-old David Rhoton, seriously injured. The other driver, who was not publicly identified, allegedly had non-life-threatening injuries.
