What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at Nakoma Dr in San Antonio, TX on July 7th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 7:25 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 operated by a 32-year-0ld Boerne man was southeast in a left lane. At the same time, a Mitsubishi Galant operated by 35-year-old DeChanda Harris, was headed northwest. Police alleged the Ford traveled into oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with the Mitsubishi. The crash left Harris with fatal injuries. Three passengers in the Ford were seriously injured, according to police, while the driver had minor injuries. Charges for Manslaughter and Aggravated Assault were recommended and/or issued.
