What Happened

Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person involved at I-27 in Plainview, TX on April 12th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford Ecosport was allegedly traveling the wrong direction prior to colliding head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado and Chevrolet Tracker. Reports say a 25-year-old passenger in the Silverado, identified as Deja Garcia, was seriously injured. The driver of the Tracker was not publicly identified and allegedly suffered minor injuries. Reports say the driver of the Ecosport, also not publicly identified, was fatally injured. Additional information was not available.
