What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 672 in Caldwell County, TX on April 17th, 2022. Police believe it happened around 2:19 p.m. Investigators say a pickup truck operated by 39-year-old Demarcus Franks was headed westbound on FM 672 as it approached a curve in the roadway at an unsafe speed. The truck began to veer from the road and, upon attempting to correct, the truck lost control and veered through a median. It then truck a culver and overturned. Franks, who responding officers alleged suspicion may have been under the influence of alcohol, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was hospitalized.
