What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a person at  I-40 near Vega, TX on June 25th, 2022. Police say the incident happened when a motorcycle headed eastbound on I-40 suffered a tire blow out. This caused the bike to lose control and veered from the road roadway, overturning after going into a skid. A passenger, 64-year-0ld Denise Heinrich, suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The driver, 66-year-old Robert Heinrich, was hospitalized with serious injuries. Additional information was not immediately available.
