Police are investigating a crash that injured a driver at State Hwy 99 in Montgomery County, TX on August 18th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. According to investigators, a Mercedes-Benz C was headed eastbound on Hwy 99, approaching Toyota Land Cruiser that was disabled in a right lane of travel. Authorities say the Mercedes allegedly failed to control its speed before striking the rear of the disabled vehicle. An occupant of the disabled vehicle, identified as 35-year-old Denys Nykyforov was pushed into a nearby grass area in the impact, suffering serious injuries.
