State Police are investigating a crash that killed a deputy at State Hwy 249 in Harris County, TX on May 11th, 2022. Police say the incident involved an 18-wheeler pulling into a left shoulder of northbound Hwy 249. A patrol vehicle operated by Deputy Robert Adam Howard is said to have drifted left and struck the rear of the 18-wheeler under unclear circumstances. A second deputy on a motorcycle was also involved in the collision. Howard was taken to an area hospital with injuries he died from.
