What Happened

Houston Police are investigating a crash that killed a person at Greens Rd and I-45 in Houston, TX on August 11th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5 a.m. Investigators say the incident involve a flatbed truck suffering a trailer detachment which was in the roadway prior to it being struck by an approaching Ford Mustang and Ford Ranger. The driver of the Ranger, identified as 57-year-old Derek Haynes, suffered fatal injuries. The other driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Additional information was not available.
