What Happened

Fort Worth Police are searching for a driver in connection with a hit-and-run collision at Loop 820 in Fort Worth, TX on January 5th, 2022. Officials say the as 61-year-old Derick Wheeler was walking northbound in Loop 820, he was struck by a vehicle around 6:45 a.m. The vehicle in question fled the scene and Wheeler suffered fatal injuries. Police say the vehicle is believed to be a black pickup truck with large tires. Additional information was not immediately available.
