What Happened

Tyler Police are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US Hwy 69 in Cherokee County, TX on July 12th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:27 a.m. According to investigators, a Buick LeSabre headed northbound is said to have attempted to change lanes when it collided with the rear of a trailer towed by a GMC Sierra. The impact sent the Buick into a embankment where it overturned. The driver of the Buick, identified as 58-year-old Derrell Bobbitt was hospitalized with injuries he later died from.
