Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured three people at FM 1382 in Grand Prairie, TX on May 28th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 9:23 p.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Dart operated by 35-year-old Derrick Washington was headed southbound on S Belt Line Rd when it reportedly lost control and veered from the road. The vehicle collided with a tree, causing minor injuries to two child passengers, ages 3 and 6, and serious injuries to Washington. Reports indicate Washington was also arrested on a Driving While Intoxicated charge.
