Are authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at FM 2254 in Camp County, TX on October 30th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 2:59 a.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Maxima operated by 30-year-old Shayla Austin was headed southbound on County Rd 2254 before veered to the east side of the road into a tree. Both Austin and a passenger, identified as 33-year-old Derrick Zarnt, are said to have been seriously injured in the crash. Officers recommended and/or issued an Intoxication Assault charge against Austin.
