What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured a person at US 290 in Hempstead, TX on October 3rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 8:26 a.m. A tractor-trailer operated by a 57-year-old Crestlien, CA man is said to have failed to yield while turning left. This created a situation where a Jeep Grand Cherokee operated by 56-year-old Despina Milios collided with the truck. Milios and her passengers, 24-year-old Maria Milios and a 27-year-old female passenger were all injured. The Crestlien man was not injured.
