Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured several people at Hwy 83 in San Augustine County, TX on November 21st, 2023. Police say the incident happened just after 9 p.m. Authorities say a Chevrolet truck operated by 20-year-old Brandon Rice was westbound before allegedly crossing a center line and colliding head-on with a Mazda pickup truck operated by 27-year-old Dewy Hinote. Reports say Hinto and three child passenger were hospitalized for treatment. Reports also say Rice was uninjured and arrested on four counts of Intoxication Assault.
