Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured several people at US 175 in Kaufman, TX on February 12th, 2022. Police place the accident happening around 6:21 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Caliber, said to have been operated by 23-year-old Kimberly Luna, was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the highway. At some point, the vehicle collided head-on with a Ford Edge operated by an unidentified 36-year-old male. The collision seriously injured a 6-year-old boy in the Dodge and caused minor injuries to a 2-year-old girl. In the Ford, 37-year-old Diana Medellin Garcia suffered minor injuries. Records indicate a charge of Intoxication Assault was issued against Luna.
