What Happened

Houston Police have information on a crash that killed a pedestrian at North Fwy in Houston, TX on September 27th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:40 a.m. 32-year-old Diana Pena was a passenger in a Chevrolet Silverado that was traveling on the service road after leaving a nearby bar when both she and the driver, Andrew Wise Jr, reportedly became engaged in an argument. At some point, Pena is said to have exited the vehicle and entered onto the main lanes of the highway where she was struck by a passing vehicle. Investigators say she had been attempting to capture the attention of the passing vehicles by waving them down before she was struck. A second vehicle struck Pena and she suffered fatal injuries at the scene. Investigators say both drivers remained at the scene and were not injured. Additional information was not available.
