Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that killed a driver at US 59 in Harrison County, TX on January 4th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 8:57 p.m. A Toyota Corolla operated by 76-year-old Diann Simmons was reportedly headed southbound on in a northbound lane of travel before colliding with a tractor-trailer operated by a 26-year-old male. Police say the truck attempted evasive maneuvers prior to the collision and that Simmons suffered fatal injuries. The truck driver suffered no injuries.
