Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured two people at State Hwy 95 in Bastrop County, TX on July 25th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 3:42 a.m. According to investigators, a Ford F-150 operated by 27-year-old Jorge Ponce Mata was headed southbound on State Hwy 95 before veering onto the wrong side of the road while not passing and colliding head-on with a northbound Jeep Compass operated by 41-year-old Dominic Rodriguez. Both drivers suffered serious injuries in the crash. Investigators allege Mata may have been under the influence of alcohol.
