What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at US 84 in Woodway, TX on January 24th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 8:11 a.m. According to investigators, a tractor-trailer operated by an unnamed 20-year-old McGregor man was headed eastbound on Hwy 84. At the same time, a Chrysler 300 operated by 31-year-old Dominique Nicole Jones was headed in the same direction as both vehicle approached an emergency vehicle  ahead. This caused several vehicles to move into another lane, causing travel too slow for the vehicles. As the truck was slowing, officers say because it was traveling at a speed unsafe for the weather conditions, it struck the Chrysler. Jones was seriously injured, according to police, while the McGregor man was not injured. Additional information was not available.
