Making right or-u-turn was a Mazda Miata police allege traveled into the path of the BMW, the two vehicles colliding in the process. The crash left 85-year-old Don Flaminio, a passenger in the Mazda, with fatal injuries. The BMW operator, identified as 58-year-old Isabel Maciel, allegedly had injuries believed to be non-life-threatening in nature. The driver of the Mazda, allegedly displayed signs of intoxication, according to authorities. Reports indicate an Intoxication Manslaughter charge was recommended and/or issued against the operator of the Mazda.
