What Happened

Texas Department of Public Safety officials are investigating a crash that injured two people I-45 in Rice County, TX on June 25th, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 3:25 p.m. A tractor-trailer operated by 34-year-old Corsicana man reportedly suffered a tire loss under under circumstances. The tire then jumped a center median and crashed head-on into a GMC Yukon operated by 49-year-old Donna Jean Rankin. Both Rankin and her passenger, 50-year-old Stephen Rankin, suffered serious injuries. The other driver was not injured.
