What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that insured injured three people at US 290 in Austin, TX on March 12th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 5:53 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Escape operated by an unknown driver was headed westbound, approaching a Ford F-150 operated by 24-year-old Donovan Diaz. Officers allege the Escape veered left into an eastbound lane, striking the Ford. The collision cased the Fo-150 to catch fire. Authorities say both Diaz and a passenger, 50-year-old Porfirio Diaz, suffered non-life-threatening injures. Officers allege the other driver was more seriously injured and expressed suspicion of possible intoxication.
