Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a man at US 290 in Travis County, TX on April 24th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 2:31 p.m. According to investigators, a Nissan Altima operated by a 25-year-old man who was not publicly identified was headed eastbound in a westbound lane of travel prior to colliding head-on with a Lexus RX 350 operated by 67-year-old Douglas Mann. The collision left a 37-year-old passenger in the Nissan with fatal injuries. Mann and his passenger, 68-year-old Kathy Mann, had serious injuries, according to police. The driver of the Nissan had less serious injuries and police allege the driver may have been intoxicated while driving.
