What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured three people at State Hwy 154 in Yantis, TX on April 27th, 2022. Police say the incident happened around 5:43 p.m. According to investigators, a Ford Expedition operated by a 22-year-old Yantis man was headed southbound on Hwy 154 when it failed to control its speed, colliding with a Kia Sorento slowing to make a turn. It then veered into a left lane, colliding with a Nissan Altima. No one in the Altima was injured. Two passengers in the Kia were seriously injured while the driver, 34-year-old Drucilla McGary, suffered minor injuries. The Yantis man was not injured and officers recommended and/or issued a Failure to Control Speed charge.
