What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist at State Hwy 121 in Fannin County, TX on May 8th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 6:38 a.m. According to investigators, a commercial box truck operated by 63-year-old Michael Wayne Watson was headed northbound on Hwy 121 when it turned across a southbound lane to enter into a business lot. As it turn, the vehicle is said to have traveled into the path of a southbound motorcycle. The two vehicles collided, leaving the operator of the motorcycle, identified as 28-year-old Dylan Robert Fondren, with fatal injuries. Police recommended and/or issued a Failure to Yield charge.
