What Happened

Area authorities are investigating a crash that injured a driver at FM 2259 in Nacogdoches County, TX on August 23rd, 2021. Police say the incident happened around 2:49 p.m. A commercial truck operated by a 38-year-old Mesquite man was traveling on the wrong side of the road while rounding a curve. An approaching pickup truck operated by 67-year-old Earnest Anthony Grindle is said to have taken faulty evasive action in response that led to the truck veering from the road and overturning. Grindle suffered minor injuries in the incident. The other driver was cited for Driving on Wrong Side of Road-Not Passing.
