Texas Department of Public Safety officials have information on a crash that killed a woman at I-35E in Ellis County, TX on October 23rd, 2022. Officials ay the incident happened around 3:15 a.m. According to investigators, a GMC Terrain operated by a 17-year-old girl was headed southbound before it veered into a bar ditch. It then traveled over a bridge before going into a skid and overturning into a drainage ditch. A 19-year-old passenger was killed while 20-year-old passenger, Ebony Ward, suffered serious injuries. A second passenger, age 18, suffered serious injuries, as did the driver. An 18-year-old passenger had minor injuries while a 20-year-old male passenger was evaluated for possible injuries. Officers allege suspicion of possible alcohol involvement in the crash. Additional information was not available.
