Police say the incident happened around 2:17 a.m. According to investigators, a Dodge Charger headed eastbound is alleged to have failed to remain in its lane before striking a Mercedes-Benz 500. The impact is said to have caused the vehicle to leave the road and crash into a tree while the Dodge allegedly fled the scene. The driver of the Mercedes-Benz, identified as 40-year-old Eddie Morales, was seriously injured, reports say. Also seriously injured was a 17-year-old passenger. Another passenger, identified as 19-year-old Natalie Morales, had minor injuries while 39-year-old passenger, Priscilla Morales, had possible, unconfirmed injuries.
