What Happened

Police are investigating a crash that injured at least two people at FM 535 in Bastrop County, TX on October 28th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:53 p.m. According to investigators, an eastbound vehicle is alleged to have struck a deer in the roadway that caused the animal to go airborne before striking a westbound Ford Mustang. Following the collision, reprots say the eastbound vehicle continued on without stopping. Officials say 37-year-old Ford passenger, Susana Santillan, was seriously injured while 39-year-old driver, Edel Soto, was less seriously injured. Additional information was not available.
