Authorities are investigating a crash that killed one person at St Augustine Dr in Dallas, TX on August 10th, 2024. Police say the incident happened around 9:39 p.m. According to investigators, a motorcycle headed northbound is said to have been traveling at a high rate of speed before colliding with a pedestrian crossing the intersection via bicycle. Reports say the impact caused the pedestrian, only identified as a 41-year-old Dallas woman, to be seriously injured. The motorcyclist, identified as 19-year-old Edgar Chavez, was ejected from the vehicle in the impact.
