What Happened

Conroe Police are investigating a crash that killed two people at North Loop 336 in Conroe, TX on September 11th, 2023. Police say the incident happened around 12:45 a.m. According to investigators, a Chevrolet Camaro is said to have went into a left turn lane in an effort to avoid colliding with a vehicle stopped in a left turn lane. It then lost control before veering into a ditch and overturning and catching fire. The driver, alleged to be 19-year-old Edgar Jose Garcia, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 17-year-old passenger in the vehicle was taken to an area hospital with injuries he later died from. Additional information was not available.
