Police say the incident happened just before 5:31 p.m. According to investigators, a Rivian R1T operated by 36-year-old Edward Boone was eastbound, approaching a curb in the roadway. Officials say the vehicle lost control while navigating the curve, veering from the road and colliding with a tree located in the front yard of a residence. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn, ejecting Boone from the vehicle and causing fatal injuries at the scene.
